Welcome Kru Mat Sulya
Kru Mat Sulya began training Muay Thai in 2001 in Florida at Inferno Muay Thai gym, now called Inferno MMA gym. From there he moved to New York and developed his Thai boxing skills at the best Muay Thai boxing gym in Ontario, Canada, Iron Tiger Muay Thai for 3 years under Kru Alin Hamilgen, while teaching in Buffalo, NY. Starting a new Muay Thai program in Buffalo, NY Kru focused on teaching his students all elements of Muay Thai. At this point Jru was also fighting in the Canadian Association of Muay Thai.
Taking his training to the extreme level, Kru decided to pursue the ultimate goal of training and fighting in Thailand, the birthplace of Muay Thai. In 2004, Kru became the Koh Samui, Thailand light-heavy weight Champion. "Living, training, and fighting in Thailand was a passion of mine since my first day of training Muay Thai, and I wanted to learn the correct, traditional practices while becoming the best (Kru)instructor possible."-Kru Mat.
After Thailand, Kru Mat finished University and moved back to Florida in 2006 and taught at the current Inferno MMA gym in Naples, Florida, while starting a Muay Thai class at the Gracie Barra Team in Cape Coral, Florida, and training UFC fighter, Crafton Wallace, along with many other amateur fighters.
In 2007, Kru Mat moved to Europe for Graduate University and trained clients and fighters at the Lieden Sportseum Complex in the Netherlands. He also trained at Mejrio Gym in Amsterdam, and Golden Glory in Rotterdam, both in the Netherlands.
Back in St. Louis, Kru is very excited about teaching Muay Thai at Grappling Concepts and is looking forward to meeting the team!
