Jena French Bishop - RGDA MO/Grappling Concepts - Wins Silver at the Pan Championships 2010
Professor JW Wright reports once again from the Pan Championships 2010 in California taking place this weekend with amazing news! JENA FRENCH BISHOP TAKES SILVER MEDAL AT THE FEMALE BLUE BELT FEATHER WEIGHT DIVISION! After an outstanding performance submitting every single one of her opponents on her way to the finals, Jena had a very dominant and high paced last match that ended up quite controversially: After Jena takes her opponent's back getting the hooks in, the main referee awards her the points she needed to win, as it happens the time is up. Once both competitors are on their feet and the team was in awe, already celebrating the victory, the side refs call in to revert the decision claiming that Jena did not secure the position long enough. With the points taken away from her, Jena misses the Gold for a few advantages!
Jena's Silver Medal comes after the taste of the Gold and leaves the hope and inspiration for more. We are sure she will be even hungrier for it next time. Jena is an avid competitor, her dedication has pushed her to this amazing accomplishment and will take her even further. Great job Jena! We are all very proud of you!.
